Step 1: Install The Software And Run The Scan
At first, users have to download this free data recovery software from the internet. After that, they have to launch this program in their computer. While installing it on the system, users have to install it on the disk other than the one where they lost their data. Otherwise, during data recovery lost files and data may be overwritten.
- Choose The Type of Data Lost
Once installed, users have to run this program. While running this program, the first page appears is the file type selecting page. In this page, all the common file formats are divided into 6 different divisions which include, Audio, Document, Graphics, Video, Email and Others. All these categories are checked initially.
If you want to recover all these data types then proceed. Otherwise choose the specific file type. This will accelerate the speed of your scan.
- Choose Location To Find The Data
Next, users have to specify the location where it has to search for lost files. This may be desktop, windows libraries, hard disk drives, lost hard disk drives etc. This option is possible for the data which is lost due to a deleting partition, losing a partition or re partition.
Step 2: Start Scanning your System
In this data recovery software, users will find a progress bar at the top of the page. After that two buttons are there one is “Stop” and the other one is “Pause”. Once the user has done the above two steps, they have to click on the start button to start the scan in their system. The Pause button will allows users to temporarily halt the scanning process. Users can resume it later.
Users will find the details of scanning like how much time is remaining in this scan and the percentage of scan under the progress bar.
Step 3: Preview And Recover The Files
Once the scan is completed, result will be shown in the window. The scan result page is divided into 3 parts. At the left side of the window is the Directory Tree list. This allows users to quickly filter their files by Path wise or Type wise or Time wise.
The center part of the window shows all files and folders under the folder selected in the left side. The window at the right side displays a thumbnail and information for the files selected in the middle window. This allows the users to preview their files.
Users have to preview the files and select desired files they want to recover. Then they have to press “Recover” button. This will save all the files and data in the space mentioned. This software will helps users to recover all types of data in this manner.
