Apple today announced iPhone 5 the lightest, thinnest iPhone ever and as expected it comes with lots of features.The all new iPhone 5 runs on iOS 6, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system and supports 200+ new features including: new Maps app with Apple-designed cartography and turn-by-turn navigation; Facebook integration; Passbook organization; and even more Siri features and languages.
According to apple iPhone 5 is the most beautiful consumer device that they have ever created for their customers. The new iPhone 5 is just 7.66mm thick, almost a whopping 18% thinner than its predecessor iPhone 4S, weighs just 112 gram, again 20% lighter than 4S. It packs a phenomenal Retina display with 326 pixels per inch, 1136×640 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio for full-screen movie playback.
The new 4-inch Retina display on iPhone 5 delivers even more pixels than iPhone 4S. It also supports supports ultrafast wireless standards including LTE and DC-HSDPA, so you can browse, download and stream content even faster. Other features include the all-new A6 chip which is 2x faster than the A5, maximize the performance of the new apple device.
The 8 megapixel iSight camera is completely redesigned with incredible optical performance and is 25 percent smaller than the iPhone 4S camera. It comes with a new feature called Panorama that lets you capture jaw-dropping panorama images of up to 28 megapixels by simply moving the camera across a scene in one smooth motion. With new iPhone 5 camera you can take still photos as you record. It also has a HD front facing camera that makes FaceTime calls incredibly clear and can also be used for self portraits and recording 720p HD video.
iPhone 5 comes in either silver or black (slate), and will be available in the US for a suggested retail price of $199 (US) for the 16GB model and $299 (US) for the 32GB model and $399 (US) for the 64GB model.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 5 will start on September 14 and it will hit the market in US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore on September 21, followed by 20 other countries on September 28.
Unfortunately, Apple again did not make any announcement about India launch plans, but iPhone 5 is expected to hit Indian market in the first half of November.
