HTC, Taiwan based mobile manufacturing company, announced its latest flagship smartphone, the HTC One. The new smartphone from HTC will compete with Apple’s iPhone 5 and other flagship Android devices.
HTC One runs on Google’s Android Jelly Bean aka Android 4.1. It features a 4.7 inch full HD display of 1080p resolution. HTC One is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor alongside 2GB of RAM. This cool and sexy SmartPhone will be available in Red, Black and Grey colors. The One is made out of aluminum and is just 9.3 mm thick.
HTC One will be available with 32GB or 64GB internal storage. But the phone does not support Micro SD card. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, GPS, NFC, Micro-USB and Infrared. Other features include 4 MP rear camera, 2 MP front camera, 2,300mAh battery etc. The primary camera comes with a new technology called “Ultrapixels“, which improve the image quality, especially in low-light conditions.
“People today immerse themselves in a constant stream of updates, news and information. Although smartphones are one of the main ways we stay in touch with the people and information we care about, conventional designs have failed to keep pace with how people are actually using them,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. “A new, exciting approach to the smartphone is needed and with the new HTC One, we have re-imagined the mobile experience from the ground up to reflect this new reality.”
HTC One will be available globally from March, through various retailers and mobile operators in more than 80 regions and countries. The retail price of the product is not yet revealed by HTC.
