Make sure you have installed all USB drivers for your Galaxy Note 2 on your PC. Enable USB debugging by heading to Settings > Developer options. Also, check for your device battery if it is charged or not. You must charge it to at least 80-85% before you proceed to update your device. Make sure that your device should not turn off in between the flashing process. If everything is ready you can start the process.

Install Android 4.1.1 XXALIH Jelly Bean on Galaxy Note 2 N7100

Step 1.  Download Android 4.1.1 CWM + Rooting Package and ODIN v1.85 on your computer.

Step 2.  Then turn off your Galaxy Tablet and boot into bootloader mode by Pressing and holding the Volume Down + Home buttons together, and then press the Power button, till you see the Samsung logo or the red and yellow text on the screen.

Step 3   Connect your mobile phone with the Computer via USB data cable while Odin is open. If the mobile got detected on your Computer than ID:COM section will turns yellow with COM port number.

Step 4   Now select the files that you have to flash/install on your phone.

Step 5   There are few more extra step which you need to follow –

  • Click on PDA and choose file with CODE in its name
  • Click on Phone and choose file with MODEM in its name
  • Click on CSC and choose file with CSC in its name
  • Click on PIT and choose the .pit file

Step 6  Now in Odin check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options.

Step 7  Now click on the Start button in ODIN. Installation process will start within seconds and would take a few minutes to complete.

Step 8  After the completion of the process, you need to restart your tablet or will restart automatically. Once you see the homescreen, you can unplug your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100 from Computer.

Congrats. Now your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has been rooted on latest XXALIH Android 4.1.1 software version.
